Day 1: 10/09/2024 - Departure the USA

We begin our discovery trip today with our flight to Scotland. Sit back, relax and enjoy all the in-flight amenities. (In-flight meals)

Day 2: 10/10/2024 - Arrival in Scotland

Arrive in Scotland today, where we will enjoy a panoramic tour of Edinburgh with a visit to Edinburgh Castle and spend some leisure time exploring Calton Hill and its unbeatable view of Edinburgh before transferring to our hotel in Edinburgh. Few cities make such a strong impression on the visitor as Edinburgh. Scotland's capital is without a doubt one of the most beautiful and elegant cities in Europe. Join us for a Welcome Drink at the hotel this evening before venturing out for dinner on your own.

Day 3: 10/11/2024 - Edinburgh

After breakfast, delve into Scotland's rich history and heritage on this full-day tour to the Rosslyn Chapel, and Stirling Castle. Enjoy a 20-minute overview of the history of Rosslyn Chapel; built in 1446, this is one of Scotland's most remarkable buildings - made famous by the "DaVinci Code." As we make our way to Stirling Castle, we'll stop for a lunch break (at your own expense) & visit the Kelpies. Then, it's on to Stirling Castle, where you'll have time to explore on your own or take in a guided tour of the castle while enjoying breathtaking views of the iconic Wallace Monument. Tonight, you have the option to enjoy a traditional Scottish night's dinner & show. (B)

Day 4: 10/12/2024 - St Andrews - Inverness

We begin this morning with a trip to the town of St. Andrews, home of one the oldest universities in the world. We'll meet your guide, Ken, on arrival and enjoy a panoramic walking tour of St. Andrews Castle and St. Andrews Cathedral, both historical monuments to Scotland's past. We will then take a scenic drive around St. Andrews Links, The Home of Golf since 1552. You will have time to visit the Old Course Shop and shop or explore St Andrews at leisure today. Lunch is included at The Bothy St Andrews Restaurant. Later we will make our way on to Inverness. Be sure to make restaurant reservations for after 7 PM tonight. (B, L)

Day 5: 10/13/2024 - Inverness

After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Inverness where you may wish to visit the Inverness Castle and visit the Cathedral or meander alongside the loch. Or you have the option to explore the Highlands of Scotland with the group. You will embark on a journey that takes you through time and history with a tour to the Dunrobin Castle and Falconry Show along with lunch at Dornoch Castle. This evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Be sure to make restaurant reservations for after 7 PM tonight. (B)

Day 6: 10/14/2024 - Inverness - Glasgow

After breakfast we will enjoy a city tour of Inverness before traveling to Glasgow. This morning we will explore the famous Loch Ness. This loch has become known worldwide for its mysterious inhabitant, Nessie. As you travel south, you will see magnificent views and the surrounding mountains of the Scottish Highlands. We'll visit the ruins of one of Scotland's grandest castles, Urquhart Castle. Time and weather permitting, we'll visit Glenfinnan & view the Harry Potter Bridge, before continuing on to Glasgow for the evening. (B)

Day 7: 10/15/2024 - Glasgow

After breakfast take part in an included tour of Glasgow, which is Scotland's largest city and the third most populous city in the United Kingdom. Glasgow is situated on the River Clyde in Scotland's west central lowlands. Visit Glasgow Cathedral of St. Mungo. Scots have been worshiping in this stone cathedral for more than 800 years. It is the best-preserved example of a large church to have survived from Scotland's medieval period. This afternoon, you'll have free time to shop on the world-famous Buchanan Street District or explore the city on your own. Tonight, enjoy a special dinner at the voco Grand Hotel Restaurant! (B, D)

Day 8: 10/16/2024 - Scotland - USA

Our Scotland trip comes to an end as we transfer to the airport for our flight home. For those participating in the Belfast post-tour, we'll enjoy a scenic drive to Cairnryan where will take a 2 ½ hour Ferry ride to Belfast where you will meet your guide, Barbara. This evening is yours to explore the city. There are wonderful restaurants available within walking distance of the hotel. (B,In-flight meals)
